In our July newsletter – we posted a quiz to find out the type of traveller you are. If you haven’t taken the quiz – you can do it here http://rickshawtravels.com/about/articledetails/What-type-of-traveller-are-you-/197
The type of traveller you are would have a slight influence on deciding whether you would go camping, glamping or stay inside 4 brick walls. But anyone looking to gaze at stars, hear the crickets at night and smell the outdoors, camping or glamping is the way to go.
Camping does not require any introduction. School trips were a great way to introduce us to the adventurous living called camping. If you have never been camping, then be prepared for the following: Sleeping bags - giving up the luxury of sleeping on a soft bed. No private showers or bathrooms – yes it is the survival of the fittest and using wood to make fire to prepare your meals.
However, camping is not as bad as it sounds and if you really want to try something different then the camping experience is totally worth it. It’s only once in a while you would get to pitch your own tent, sleep under the stars and cook food in an unconventional way. Plus, if you are on a low budget, then camping is a great option for a weekend getaway. It does not require much planning – you just need to make sure you have the necessities required for a hassle-free camp stay.
Living in the woods, surrounded by trees (maybe animals and insects too) and getting a brilliant view of sunset and sunrise – does this sound exciting to you?

Glamping, another word for glamorous camping, i.e., camping with amenities is for the kind of traveller that does not mind spending more for a luxurious outdoor experience. Glamping is for those seeking a stylish, one-of-a-kind experience where one can sit outside a posh, private canopy, sipping wine and enjoying wildlife that may be only a stone’s throw away. Combine that with the comforts of home in your luxurious tents, perhaps anon-site spas and you’ve got the makings of a hassle free stay in nature.
