Travelling in the 21st century is more fun and a large part of that reason is due to the amazing travel gadgets we have access to. Travel gadgets have made travelling so much easier and convenient. You have a solution to most of your travel needs; from solar chargers to Go Pro’s to smart phones – you know you will not be stranded in a foreign country with all the essential gadgets that keep you connected to everyone and everything. Also a plus point is that most of these travel gadgets are portable, hence easy to carry and fit in your luggage. We bring to you a list of some of the coolest and must-have gadgets for your travels.

Solar chargers are the best solution to always having your devices charged at all times. All you need is sunlight for your solar charger to work. The solar chargers are portable and easy to carry. For travelers who enjoy backpacking or camping, the solar chargers would be the perfect gadget to have as you don’t have to worry about having a main power supply to charge your devices.

Mobile Wi-Fi (MI-FI) is essential when travelling abroad. You can save money on data roaming and paying for Wi-Fi usage at hotels unless your hotel provides free WI-FI. Mi-Fi lets you share a mobile connection from a single SIM with up to 10 devices, meaning you pay only once. The Mi-Fi device, TP-Link M7350 has a built-in LCD screen that shows you how much battery remains, how strong the signal is, how much data has been used, how many devices are connected and so on. It also has a microSD slot, which lets you share up to 32GB of storage across networked devices. It is also portable, hence you are not restricted to using internet only in the hotel, but you can carry it along and get access to internet connection from any place. As the device is unlocked, you can purchase a cheap pay as you go sim card while abroad and make use of it.

The Fitbit has engaged a huge craze especially amongst fitness fanatics. How can this be used as a travel gadget? If you follow a lifestyle that symbolizes health and fitness then this is a gadget for you. Even otherwise, the Fitbit is suitable for those who would like to keep a track of their sleeping hours, calorie count and how many steps they have walked in the course of a day. Being on holiday also means indulging in good food, however, the Fitbit will help you be more aware of your habits and help you be more consistent by keeping a daily track of your fitness.

With the upgrade to google maps, you don’t need any cellular network or Wi-Fi. You can now download an area (up to 120,000kms) beforehand and all the map functions will work offline. Navigating and finding your way around in a new place has become a lot easier and stress free.
