What is London’s lure that everyone seems to want to go there for a holiday? It is said that a record number of tourists have visited London every year over the last several years.
In this ever changing world of ours, London seems to have retained the classic elements that set it apart from every other city in the world. The capital of Britain is extremely well-connected with 5 international airports and a high-speed Eurostar rail link and more than 50 countries are within a 3-hour flight time and upwards of 300 international destinations have direct links to London.
London has history, diversity, attractions and outdoor spaces. From the Tower of London to the recent popularity of Adele (my 4 year old granddaughter knows the lyrics to ‘Hello”), London has an endless string of attractions.
Ask anyone about London and what it has and very quickly they say Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye and Big Ben. True, these are some of the most popular tourist attractions. I, for one, love the English accent, who doesn’t? Let’s not forget shopping on Oxford Street, fish & chips, chocolate and a visit to Harrods.
