Escape from the mundane, the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the sun, sand and sea on a romantic holiday, quality time with your family or just hang out with friends. Which of these famous beaches will be your next getaway?

  1. Anse Source d'Argent,  Seychelles
    Seychelles is one of the most romantic destinations, made up of more than 115 islands in the midst of the ocean. Anse Source d’argent is located north of La Digue and is the most popular and also the most photographed beach in the world. A perfect choice for honeymooners and the clear blue water makes it a great experience for snorkeling. The best time to visit is between May and September.


     
  2. Nungwi Beach, Zanzibar
    Zanzibar has beautiful beaches, however, one of the best is Nungwi – white sands and turquoise water will leave you spellbound. This beach is a perfect getaway to enjoy a relaxed time and the beach also has nearby clubs and bars. Zanzibar is warm throughout the year although the best time to visit would be between November and February.


     
  3. Belle Mare Beach, Mauritius
    This beach is on the East coast of Mauritius and in close proximity to the town of Mahebourg which happens to be one of the larger towns in Mauritius. It is one of the most beautiful and the longest beach in Mauritius. Along the east coast there are not many activities to do on the beach and it is less crowded than the beaches in the North. Belle Mare is ideal for couples looking to get away and spend some quality time on the beach. Best time to visit is during summer from November to April.

    Skeleton Coast is probably the most pristine place in Africa and is a fascinating location where there is a constant, heavy surf on the beaches attracting many surfers from all around the world.

  5. Camps Bay, South Africa
    Camps Bay is one of South Africa’s most popular beach. It is magnificently located on the Atlantic Ocean, at the foot of the Twelve Apostles mountain range and adjacent to Table Mountain. Camps Bay’s long stretch of beach is perfect for sunbathing and other beach sports can be enjoyed too. The beach is safe, clean and family friendly. The best time to visit is between December and February.

    Situated on the South Coast of Mombasa, Diani was voted as the third best beach in Africa according to the Travellers Choice Award 2015. Diani boasts of white sand beaches and clear water. It is also popular for kite surfing and snorkeling. The best time to visit is between November to March.


     
  7. Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt
    Situated on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, on the coastal strip along the Red Sea. Sharm el Sheikh Bay and Naama Bay are the two popular beaches that attract a lot of tourists. Sharm el Sheikh is also a favourite destination for divers, the clear water and marine life offers an amazing experience for scuba diving or snorkeling. Best time to visit is between November to April.

    It is well known for its honey coloured sandy beaches. Cape Maclear attracts a lot of tourists every year and its sandy beaches and clear water makes it a perfect place for snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and diving. Best time to visit is between April to November.

    The idyllic islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique are known for their unspoiled beauty and diverse ecologies and Bazaruto is the largest island.
