Uganda and Nairobi feature under top 10 Destinations

Uganda has been named as the fourth best tourism destination for 2017 in the World by the Rough Guides, a leading travel publisher and Nairobi ranked the third best City to travel to.

The countries that were named ahead of Uganda were India, Scotland and Canada.  Coming after Uganda were Bolivia in fifth place, Nicaragua in sixth place, Portugal in seventh place, Finland in eighth, Namibia in ninth and Taiwan in tenth place.

Uganda christened as the ‘Pearl of Africa’ by Winston Churchill, a former British prime minister has been named as a top tourism by many reputable institutions including the Lonely Planet.

Uganda has source of the Nile, Murchison Falls, Mountain Gorilla, snow at Equator on top of Mountain Rwenzori, Kidepo Valley National Park which is yet to be discovered. 

It also shares Lake Victoria, which is the World’s second largest fresh water lake. It plays host to 1,078 species of birds including the national bird, the Crested Crane and the Shoebill.

Nairobi - East Africa’s youngest, fastest-growing metropolis and the beating heart of the continent’s largest economy, has for too long been overlooked. En route to Kenya’s national parks and palm-fringed beaches, most visitors only make forays into the city for the traditional art markets, coffee stores and museums.

Make time to explore further and you’ll find a dynamic urban landscape with cool restaurants, groundbreaking art projects and a burgeoning fashion scene (be sure to dig around the cluttered thrift markets as well as the latest boutiques).
