Beginning in the last week of February, Air Tanzania will fly three times a week from Dar es Salaam to Harare and Lusaka. After a period where Zimbabwe was being deemed by some Western countries to be an unsafe travel destination, many airlines are endorsing Zimbabwe again as a safe and exciting place to visit. The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) has confirmed that Air Tanzania flights will run on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and CAAZ General Manager David Chawota said, “This development provides tourists, business and leisure travellers with more connection options to Lusaka, Dar es Salaam and beyond. Such air connectivity contributes immensely to the economic recovery.”
