Auric Air, a privately-owned airline has announced that as of September 1, it will operate its first international flight from Mwanza, one of its hubs, via Bukoba, to Entebbe in Uganda. This means that Serengeti National Park, which is around 3 hours’ drive from Mwanza, is now more accessible to travelers from Uganda.

If one is inclined to save those 3 hours, Auric Air also has half hour flights linking the various airstrips serving safari lodges and camps in the Serengeti.
The new route will be served every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will fly a Cessna Grand Caravan C208B’s, offering up to 13 passenger seats and limited loose cargo space.
