Ethiopian Airlines will introduce flights into the new Victoria Falls International Airport from its hub in Addis Ababa in the first two weeks in April 2017. Mr. David Chawota of the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe said several major airlines have shown interest in Zimbabwe due to the state of the art aviation facilities at the new Victoria Falls Airport.

Ethiopian Airlines adds Oslo to its expanding network

As of March 26, 2017, Ethiopian Airlines will commence five weekly flights to Oslo, Norway via Stockholm with the ultra-modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Oslo is the capital and most populous city and governmental center of Norway, a hub to the Norwegian trade, banking, industry and shipping.

The inclusion of Oslo in the Ethiopian network is part of Ethiopian's Vision 2025 of connecting Africa with the major world economic and financial hubs.

Ethiopian wins Africa's "Airline of the Year Award"

For the fifth consecutive year, African Airlines Association has awarded Ethiopian AIrlines the "Airline of the Year Award".

Ethiopian has been applauded for its outstanding financial performance, technological leadership and investment in modern fuel efficient fleet, exemplary cooperation with other African carriers, significantly expanding route network in Africa and beyond, growing cargo operations with the largest cargo fleet on the continent and huge investment in MRO and training facilities to support the African Aviation.
