Beginning August 8, Fly Tristar is adding to its roster of flights from Nairobi’s Wilson International Airport. Flights to Mombasa, Malindi and Diani Chale will be added, with the airline’s focus being to create affordable travel within Kenya.

Fly Tristar’s Commercial Director Ken Wadhwa said, “Our motivation is to demystify air travel. People perceive it as an extremely expensive affair but we guarantee seats at Ksh 4 333 (€37) one way.” He noted that the Tristar flights are only Ksh 1 000 (€8) more than a first-class standard gauge rail ticket on the Madaraka Express – and the train takes four hours longer to reach Nairobi than the flight.
