Jambojet and Kenya Airways Codeshare

Kenya Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with Jambojet for its flights to Malindi, Lamu, Ukunda (Diani) and Eldoret. Under the agreement, which takes effect 1 August, Kenya Airways will put the ‘KQ’ designator code on the Jambojet flights on the abovementioned destinations allowing Kenya Airways to sell the Jambojet network to passengers coming from across the world.

The deal coincides with a capacity optimization within the Kenya Airways group that will make Jambojet grow its presence locally as Kenya Airways will now focus its domestic operation on Mombasa and Kisumu. Jambojet flights will increase to 17 flights per week, creating seamless connections between the two networks in both directions.

"We are delighted to seal this agreement, which will allow us to enhance connectivity between the two networks. This will bring about a greater flow of both local and international travelers and boost the number of tourists to the Coastal cities,” said Jambojet CEO Willem Hondius. “Without a doubt this agreement will contribute to our growth as a low cost carrierand with the increased number of flights, we will further improve our service offering to our customers travelling to Malindi,” he explained.
