Kenya Airways Responds to Growing Demand with 9 Weekly Flights on New York Route

In a strategic partnership between Kenya Airways (KQ) and the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), Kenya aims to position itself as a premier tourist destination in North America. This initiative includes a trade roadshow scheduled from March 19th to 21st, 2024, spanning New York, Boston, and Toronto, with the goal of showcasing Kenya and boosting travel demand to the country. To meet the growing interest in travel to Kenya, Kenya Airways has announced the addition of two extra flights on the New York route from June 15th to September 28th, 2024, coinciding with the summer peak season. This move, which increases the weekly flights to nine, offers guests enhanced flexibility with options for morning and afternoon flights out of New York. Moreover, the new schedule includes a same-day arrival flight option, allowing travelers to depart Nairobi in the morning and arrive in New York in the afternoon. With international tourist arrivals into Kenya reaching 1.75 million in 2023, a notable increase from 1.48 million in 2022, the country anticipates further growth, expected to add 825,000 annual arrivals. Kenya Airways' direct route between New York and Nairobi, established in 2018, continues to serve as a crucial link, facilitating both business and leisure travel to East Africa.
