New Bridge Eases Travel in Uganda

30th October, 2018 09:38:25

The Source of the Nile – the new bridge linking Eastern Uganda to the capital city of Kampala and the main airport in Entebbe – opened last week after almost five years of construction, replacing the Nalubaale Bridge that opened in 1954. The bridge – financed by the Ugandan government and a loan from the government of Japan – will make travel easier and more efficient to popular areas such as Mount Elgon National Park, Sipi Falls, Bujagali Falls and more. The bridge will eventually form part of a new highway between Kampala and the Kenyan border, making travel between Uganda and Kenya faster and safer.
