New Highway In Mombasa

Mombasa is building a new highway – the Dongo Kundu Bypass – linking Moi International Airport (MIA) to the southern coast, a route that is currently only accessible by ferry. This new route will allow travellers from the western area of the mainland to go directly south to the coast, without first having to enter Mombasa Island. This new highway means that travellers flying into MIA and going to the coast don’t have to rely on the Likoni and Mtongwe Ferries, expanding business and tourist opportunities on Mombasa’s southern coast.
