PRECISION Air Tanzania will start flying to Zanzibar's exotic Island of Pemba, with three flights a week beginning May 24.

The scheduled flights follow Zanzibar Airport Authority's (ZAA) upgrading of Pemba Airport to category four status that meets the international standards required for commercial flight operations.
Precision Air's Commercial Director Robert hailed ZAA efforts to upgrade Pemba Airport, saying the move will ensure the safety of passengers and the aircraft using it. He also stated that Precision Air is the only IOSA certified airline in Tanzania and always puts safety standards above everything else.
Using their state of the art aircraft; ATR72-500, Precision Air will be flying to Pemba via Zanzibar every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, departing from Dar es Salaam. "We are very excited about this new route.
Our mission is to connect Tanzania through our network and Pemba will be our 11th domestic route. We are happy to give our customers access to the exotic beaches in Pemba," he said.
