Qantas Upgrades to A380 on JNB Route

Qantas is set to enhance its services from Sydney to Johannesburg by introducing the Airbus A380 superjumbo on September 30, 2024, effectively doubling its capacity on each flight. This transition will increase the number of available seats from 236 on the current Boeing Dreamliner to 485, adding 55,000 seats annually. The A380 will feature a four-class configuration, including 14 first-class suites, 70 business-class seats, 60 premium economy seats, and 341 economy-class seats, along with an onboard lounge for premium-class passengers. Flight frequency will range between five and six times per week.
