On September 13, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (William and Kate) attended the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards at The Royal Society in London where the Duke presented the awards including the first Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa – a lifetime achievement award given to Clive Stockil from Zimbabawe for his work in preserving and increasing the population of Rhinos in the Savé Valley of Zimbabwe.
The Prince also presented an award to Kenyan, Tom Lalampaa, for his outstanding work brokering peace through conservation amongst feuding tribal groups in northern Kenya.
