Foreign nationals living in Tanzania will now be able to get visa and residence permits electronically. With an aim to increase efficiency, improve security, and bolster investment and revenue collection, Tanzanian Prime Minster said of the new e-visa process, “Electronic visas and residence permits are parts of efforts made by the government to ease access to the country with the view of promoting investment especially in the industrial sector. Beginning immediately, all foreigners who want to visit or live in Tanzania can apply for the appropriate visa on the new e-services immigration site.
