Uganda Gorilla Permit Fees Remains Unchanged

The Uganda Wildlife Authority has confirmed that the Gorilla Permit Fees will remain unchanged at US $600 for Foreign non-residents, $500 for Foreign Residents and Shs. 250,000 for East African citizens.

This comes after Rwanda increased it’s fee for Foreign Non-Residents to an all time high of US $1,500.

In a letter to the Chairperson of the Association of Uganda Tour Operators, Dr. Andrew Seguya, the Executive Officer of the Uganda Wildlife Autority he believes that in maintaining the current Gorilla rates, more people and participate in gorilla tourism, but ensuring sustainability of Gorilla conservation.
