Hi Bhavin,

i want to say thank you for the perfect organisation for our trip to Tansania. It was our first trip to Afrika and our first Safari and we are very happy that we have done it with Rickshaw Travels.

We live in Germany and especially Bhavin from the U.K. called and advised me a lot concerning our travel intentions. He booked the Selous Serena Camp for us and organised the in and outcoming flights from Dar -Selous-Sansibar.

At our arrival in Dar we went to the office of rickshaw travel and there the staff and ecspecially Andrea took care of us .All of them were very friendly and helpful.

The lodge in Selous was georgious, the manager elliot and the rest of the staff was looking after us like "v.i.p." people.  It was wonderful and the treatment and service amazing !!!, even the food was like in a five star hotel. During the safari we saw all the animals (our ranger made sure that we saw all of them,he was very ambitious) .It was such a nice experience and adventure. For sure it was not our last trip to Afrika and our last safari.

I will recommend Rickshaw Travels to all my friends and family because of their excellent service.

Best regards
Petra and Ulli

Hi Naz,

We are back from our long trip and still recovering from jet lag.

We had a wonderful trip and a fantastic time at the safari. Facilities at the Serena lodges were spectacular and the staff was very professional.  The driver was an expert and we rewarded him handsomely for the great care he took of us.  We saw the migration and even the rhinos, which are now rare. Weather was very pleasant. This trip was worth the money we paid for it and you took good care of our complicated arrangements.

You went the extra mile to ensure we had a safe and enjoyable experience. Karim was very touched by your care and concern. He had no problems at all on his arrival at the Kilimanjaro airport.  It was his first safari and he was very impressed by the sights and the comforts. He said he will definitely go there again with friends.

Overall, the success of our safari was due largely to your efforts and we would like to thank you for the wonderful time we had.

We spent a week in Dubai and few days in London, in addition to the safari.

Sincerely,

Nizar & Salma

Dear Naz, Jambo.

We are back from our wonderful holidays in Tanzania and getting back to our routine, which of course is always difficult when one has been away  enjoying for three weeks.

Both Taj and I would like to thank you for arranging the safari side of our trip. It was just amazing and we both had a wonderful time. The memories that you have helped us create, will remain with us for a very long time. We really appreciated all your input, help and guidance. The safari was just unbelievable, except for the small hiccup in Moshi. The Serena's in Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro were great. Really good choices, thanks. Your office in Arusha provided us with an excellent driver, Sisti. He was very knowledgeable and an excellent spotter. He knew exactly where the animals were, especially the Big Five. He drove us to an area  where we were very lucky to witness a kill. It was just amazing to watch a pack of lions go after a zebra. No words can describe the feeling. On the one hand you feel sorry for the zebra while on the other hand, when you watch the lion cubs enjoying their meal, you feel happy.

Thank you once again for arranging a wonderful safari experience for us, especially for my wife Taj. This was something totally different for her because she had never been to Africa before. We will not hesitate to recommend your services to all our friends and relatives. Asante sana.

With best regards

Dear Tausi,

We all arrived in The Netherlands after a very nice holiday in Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Mikumi.

We want to thank you for organizing all the hotels and traveling so well! We liked the Blue Bay Resort very much! It was very beautiful and while I was sick for a few days the Personnel of the resort was very helpful and kind for us. We also liked the fact that good snorkelling facilities were available on the resort.

It will not surprise you that the Serena Inn in Stone Tow is a very good hotel.

The biggest surprise was the Mikumi Wildlife Camp. This was so incredibly nice! Living between all these wild animals is an unbelievable experience.

All the logistics you booked for us functioned perfect. The taxi was always on time. The flights were also good.

Thanks to your effort and good knowledge, we had the best possible organized trip to Tanzania. I want to thank you so much on behalf of all of us.

From a cold Netherlands,

Peter Yntema

We had a wonderful time in Tanzania, a trip organized by Rickshaw Travels. There were 4 of us. Rickshaw was accommodating with last minute changes and refund for a last minute cancellation.  We only started planning our trip 2 or 3 months ahead and there were times when we thought hotels would not be confirmed and we would be left hanging, but no such thing happened.

I think that once all the bookings are made, the Safari guide/driver is the one who makes or breaks your trip.  Richard the “Sukuma” was a great guide.  We’d be racing/bumping along in our 4 x 4, all of us with eyes and binoculars peeled for animals and all a sudden the vehicle would stop because Richard had seen a Leopard in a tree. Often on Safari a sign of an interesting animal or event was when we saw a line of vehicles watching something, but there were many times when Richard’s sharp eyes spotted animals unseen by anyone else. None of us were disappointed with the variety and huge numbers of animals we saw. Sometimes we didn’t know which way to look; zebras, elephants, giraffe and antelope in all directions. The lions in the Serengeti must think that our vehicles are protective moving shade trees or something.  One lioness left her cub in the shade of our vehicle and went off to hunt warthogs!

I never thought I would enjoy 6 days of looking at animals, but it was fascinating. I think the pleasure comes from seeing animals in their own habitat, doing their own thing, with not a care for a vehicle parked as close as 5-6 feet away. Some of the gazelles would run away if you stopped too close and it was beautiful to watch, so graceful, but the other animals did not even acknowledge our existence.

Richard our guide was very knowledgeable and never tried to pretend he knew more than he did.  Once we got stuck in some mud and he was calm and unfazed when he had to get the vehicle out of the mud with a cheetah and her cub nearby. He even helped us with arrangements in Arusha after we left the Serengeti, calling and talking to the driver who met us at Arusha airport.

Accommodations were clean, comfortable and some were luxurious. There were no problems with bookings.  Food was decent and plentiful. Our trip was comparable in price with other friends who had been on safari recently.  I assume that Rickshaw was able to negotiate with the hotels we stayed as the rack rates that come up on sites like Expedia seemed very high. Our trip would have probably been hugely more expensive if we had tried to make all those bookings on our own.  I would recommend Rickshaw Travels to anyone going to that part of the world.
