Canopy Adventure

Arenal Thrilling Canopy Adventure, ATHICA is located within the Arenal Conservation Area, and is without a doubt a healthy release of adrenaline and an incredible immersion in nature with a moving panoramic view. Zip lining above the tree canopy will not only offer you a great adventure, it will also offer you the opportunity to observe wildlife in its natural habitat.  Your zip line adventure will include a 1 hour optional horseback ride to El Silencio Observation point where you can safely observe the dried lava of previous eruptions of the majestic Arenal Volcano which has formed channels of volcanic rock along the mountainside.

Your tour will begin with a warm welcome and a brief safety speech, after which your equipment will be put on and carefully checked by our bilingual guides, all of which are certified by ICT (Costa Rican Board of Tourism). This certification provides you extra assurance that you will be completely safe at all times since the guides are fully trained in first aid, vertical rescue, and have ample knowledge of the Flora and Fauna of this beautiful country. Enjoy this thrilling aerial adventure of approximately 3 km, starting from a tower 13 meters high and glide your way down 8 cables made with the best galvanized stainless steel, ranging from 80 meters to 750 meters in length, with an average height of 38 meters. Speeds will top 60km per hour!  Each of our 14 platforms, 5 of which are constructed in extraordinary trees, were strategically designed at varying heights to allow our clients to observe the rainforest from different angles and photograph the awe inspiring scenery.

At the platform #10, If you are willing to take the most exhilarating, electrifying and mind-blowing adventure  you can enjoy our amazing  Tarzan Swing, where you have to jump  to a secure rope and literally throw yourself off a platform, then you start swinging back and forth between the trees, that allows you an incredible view of the mighty Arenal Volcano as well as the rainforest above, below and around you as a healthy rush of adrenaline surges through your bones for an adventure you will never forget.

Hours: The first tour is at 8:00 a.m and it runs canopy tours every hour until 3:30 p.m to best accommodate to the needs of our valued clients. Special Departures established at:  8:00 a.m, 10:30 a.m 1:00p.m and 3:30 p.m.

Duration:  Complete tour duration is 2.5 or 3 hours, depending on group size. If you do not wish to enjoy the horseback portion, please inform at time of reservation. This tour may take less time without the horseback.    


All the equipment from harnesses and helmets to cables and pulleys meets the highest standards of quality and safety and is certified by national and international institutions including the Association of Challenge Course Technology ACCT, The Union of International Associated Alpinists UIAA. Each of our platforms and cables have been constructed by field experts and certified by the School of Architects and Engineers of Costa Rica and additionally have all the MINAE and INS permits and policies to guarantee the safety and enjoyment of our guests.

Venado Caves Tours

For those people that do not mind getting wet and muddy, in this fascinating adventure under ground to only 45 minute from 'La Fortuna', we will take you through narrow passages and incredible labyrints, chambers where we will see the famous formation of rock named 'La Papaya' and other stalactites and stalagmites that they surely will astonish to everybody. Also you will see spidersand bats which are frequent in this place.

Includes: Comfortable transport, bilingual guide, flash light, helmet, and cold drinks.

Nicaragua Day Tour, Guanacaste

Nicaragua is a beautiful country owner of a very rich culture and a history full of proud and difficult memories. Our journey to our northern neighbor starts very early in the morning to avoid lines on the border. On the other side we will stop for a delicious breakfast near of Rivas city. We continue our way to Granada city, one of the first founded cities in America by Europeans, a colorful place, built on Spanish colonial architecture that nowadays still remains. At Granada we visit the most important monuments of the city on a horse drawn, like Spanish used to do it 200 years ago; we will see the main church known as the “Catedral”, “The Plaza de España” which is one of the best view points for the magnificent Nicaragua Lake and many others; we take lunch on a nice restaurant with a historical view.

After lunch we drive towards to Masaya City, a very typical Nicaraguan Town and we visit the active Masaya Volcano and the National park, a natural attraction that we cannot miss on our trip; we finish our stay at Masaya with a visit to the local market when you will have the chance to see the local pottery and pick up a souvenir. We get back to Costa Rica to drop you off at your hotel on the evening.

Departure: 5:00am.  Return: 8:30pm.

Borinquen Adventure day, Guanacaste

Palo Verde National Park and Guaitil Pottery (half day tour), Guanacaste

The hydrologic characteristics of the Tempisque River has created conditions to form  these international important wetlands ecosystem (Ramsar site) Palo Verde National park it is an exceptional place for birdwatchers and nature lovers in general, a two hours boat trip will introduce us into these important ecosystem, crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas and more wildlife that you ever imagined. After this great opportunity to see wildlife, we will visit the town of Guaitil traditional pottery artisans.

Day 1: Arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica

Welcome to the Juan Santamaria International Airport in Costa Rica and transfer to your selected hotel.

Day 2: San Jose to Tortuguero

An early transfer will pick you up in the morning around 06:30. A 3 hour drive through banana plantations will take you to the harbor where our boat is waiting to take you through mangroves and the jungle of Costa Rica. The program includes the aquatic ground transportation and accommodation.  .

After Lunch at 3:30 pm tours to Tortuguero village, Tortuguero Canals and the Town of Tortuguero is included, returning to walk on the beach

Day 3: Full day in Tortuguero

After breakfast, take a tour of Mawamba Park, to see the frog pond, the butterflies and different types of flora.
