Golfing Holidays: The Perfect Way to Unwind

Perfectly laid out grass, the smell of fresh air, and the sound of a golf club hitting the ball... it's the perfect setting for golf lovers.

Golf tours are an excellent way to relax and unwind for golf lovers. Here are some of the most scenic golf courses in East Africa that are guaranteed to provide you with an unforgettable 18-hole experience.

Kenya

Having been named Africa’s leading golf destination at the 7th World Golf Awards Gala Ceremony held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Kenya has some of the best golf courses in East Africa.

In the event, the Karen Country Club won the award for Kenya’s best golf course, while the Great Rift Valley Country Lodge and Golf Resort won the award for Kenya’s best golf resort.

Not only do these courses offer international golfing standards, but they also have some of the most beautiful landscaping and ambience you'll ever experience.

Tanzania

Tanzania hosts state-of-the-art golf courses for golf lovers with spectacular views of the beach or Mount Kilimanjaro.

Enjoy a round of golf at Lugalo Golf Course in Dar es Salaam or play at Kilimanjaro Golf Course in Arusha, Tanzania’s first 18-hole championship course.

Also, you can enjoy the beach and shoot birdies at the only golf course on the island of Zanzibar, Seacliff Golf Resort, taking in some of the natural features of the island on Matkovitch's nine-hole course.

Rwanda

The newly overhauled Kigali Golf Club is the only one in the capital. Originally composed of nine holes, it has been redesigned and extended to 18 holes. The golf course is expected to be open for play this month.

Falcon Golf Course on the shores of Lake Muhazi and Gorillas Nest Lodge and Resort Golf Course in Ruhengeri, Rwanda are also gorgeous golf courses that offer breathtaking views as you play.

Kigali is known to be the second most attractive city in Africa for international meetings and events.

One of the best parts about travelling or taking a vacation is being able to do things you enjoy most when they are uninterrupted. The best part is that you can combine a golfing holiday with a safari or any other adventure and be guaranteed to have a relaxing time.
