How to make your travel & stay safe during Holiday season!

Travelling is a unique and exciting experience usually. It can be instrumental to our mind, body and soul no matter what age or background we come from. Below are some tips to help you in your upcoming travels:  This is ONLY a guideline kindly note and there is no legal boundary attached to this.

Tip 1: Always choose the most direct flight; the less stopovers the better in some cases. Less time spent in transit the better always.

Tip 2: Change your mask and gloves after every flight.

Tip 3: Always purchase insurance that includes the COVID element that suits your travel best. Ensure you have the contact number of the insurance company and the reference number handy.

Tip 4: Follow airline's CoVID protocol on RT-PCR. Few airlines allow you to test within 96/120 hours. It is recommended to test within 72 hours of travel, however passengers traveling to China are asked to test within 48hrs of travel.

Tip 5: Do a RT-PCR test even for kids. Some airlines and regions of the country have different set of rules. Countries like India has exempted institutional quarantine for certain categories of passengers but not RT-PCR test.

Tip 6: If your travel includes multiple leg, check whether there are restrictions in transit country. If the transit country asks for a mandatory test upon arrival, ensure you have a valid visa in case you are quarantined.

Tip 7: Countries like China ask you to conduct RT PCR and anti-body test at the origin country and country you transit prior to arrival into China. Check with The Rickshaw Travels’ consultant whether such rules are followed in the country you intend to visit. 

Tip 8: If you can, try and avoid Seat-in-Coach services or shared taxis upon arrival at your destination.

Tip 9: Choose smaller, boutique type resorts/ hotels with COVID SOP in place to ensure staff and yourselves are protected.
