Kitulo National Park

Tanzania has a lot to offer in terms of both flora and fauna.

If you are tired of the generic safaris and would like to do something different, then there is always space and things for you to do.

You can get to Mbeya from Dar es Salaam by car in the following ways;
-    By Road: You can either drive by a private car or take a public bus to Mbeya which is an approximate of a 14 hour’s drive
-    By bus: same distance or more as the car
-    By Air (most recommended): which takes around 1.5 hours
-    By Train: Which takes approximately 8 hrs to reach

However, once in Mbeya, the park is still an approximate of 2hrs drive. Accommodation can be found in Mbeya, for a more comfortable stay; or at Matamba and Chimala regions.

The best time to visit the park is between December and April and the summer months from September to November, where wild flowers blossom. The entire park is foggy from June to August with no visibility during the daytime, and it is hardly possible to view its floral charms.

Pleasing surroundings of the land makes the park an ideal place to pay a visit.
Currently, when visiting the park, travelers can hike on existing trails, openly walk across the grasslands to watch birds and wildflowers or Hill climbing on the neighboring ranges. A half-day hike from the park across the Livingstone Mountains leads to the sumptuous Matema Beach on Lake Nyasa.
It’s an adventurous and wild trip full of wild flowers for wild hearts.
Kitulo national park is a photographers dream, and a botanics paradise.

Don’t miss it.
