Low Season Travel

If you know where to go, then April is a great time to travel to Africa. April and May are great times to visit Cape Town in South Africa. The hot summer weather is coming to an end and cooler weather setting in, thus fewer crowds and lower prices. It is also the start of the annual wine harvest and many of the wineries in and around Cape Town allow visitors to participate in the gathering and juicing of grapes. Cape Town is brimming with adventure, culture and culinary arts so there’s always something for everyone to enjoy.

In East Africa, the rainy season is upon us thus the lush green landscapes await you. Southern Serengeti and Ngorongoro see masses of wildebeest in the drizzle with the predators not too far. If you’re willing to take a chance, then don’t let the rainy days deter you; you may even get lucky and get some dry days and take advantage of the Game Reserves with smaller crowds and great deals. Kenya and Uganda also see rains this time of the year, and the same reasoning for you to visit their Game Reserves.
