Where is Nairobi?
Nairobi is the capital and the largest city of Kenya. The city takes its name from a water hole known to the Maasai people (an Eastern Nilotic language) as Enkare Nairobi, which translates to "Cool Water", a reference to the Nairobi River which flows through the city.
The city is popularly referred to as the Green City in the Sun; city is built on an interesting mix of rainforest and savannah grasslands sloping southwards with several rivers running through. The built environment may now have covered up most of the original vegetation of the city, yet the valleys and hills can still be seen.
Nairobi also grew due to administration and tourism businesses mostly big game hunting.
