Whale Watching in Mozambique

The Humpback Whales’ annual migration from the cold southern waters of the Antarctic to the warm waters around the equator in Southern Africa and Mozambique is under way.  So why not combine a relaxing Mozambique holiday with whale watching at tope spots along the extensive coastline.  It is sometimes possible to spot up to 30 whales in a day during the season.

During this time, between July and October, the pregnant females give birth to their calf and after a few months of frolicking in in these warm waters, they return to the icy waters back in the Antarctic. This period is the best time to watch this natural phenomena together with other ocean mammals such as the dolphins and Bryde’s Whales.
