Iconic Meikles Hotel becomes Hyatt Regency in Harare

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the opening of its first hotel in Zimbabwe, the Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles, following an extensive renovation of the iconic 109-year-old property in Harare's city center. The five-star hotel features 312 rooms with views of Africa Unity Square, blending modern and traditional elements to offer an exceptional guest experience. Amenities include diverse dining options, a fitness center, a spa, and versatile meeting spaces. Javier Aguila, Group President, EAME, highlighted the hotel’s significance in expanding Hyatt's presence in Africa and contributing to Zimbabwe's tourism sector. General Manager Tinashe Munjoma expressed excitement about continuing the property's legacy and providing memorable experiences for guests.
