Overview

Welcome to Ethiopia, a country rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. Our tour will take you to two of its most iconic cities, Bahir Dar and Addis Ababa. The city of Bahir Dar on the southern shore of Lake Tana is known for its beautiful landscapes, rich religious history, and vibrant markets. As we explore this city, we will discover ancient monasteries, witness traditional coffee ceremonies, and take in the stunning Blue Nile Falls. In contrast, Addis Ababa, the bustling capital of Ethiopia, is a modern and cosmopolitan city. Here, we will delve into the country's political and cultural heart, visit museums and monuments, sample delicious Ethiopian cuisine, and experience the energetic street life. Join us on this journey as we discover the diversity and charm of Bahir Dar and Addis Ababa. Generally the best time to visit Ethiopia is between October and June, when it is the dry season. Rains tend to stop in early October, meaning afterwards the highlands are lush and green – perfect for trekking amongst pretty wildflowers that have sprung up. Be sure to bring a sweater all year round due to the elevation.
