This 7-night/8-day Egypt Cairo-Nile Cruise tour offers a comprehensive exploration of ancient Egyptian wonders. Starting in Cairo, you will visit the Step Pyramid in Sakkara, the Great Pyramids in Giza, and experience a camel ride in the desert. Transitioning to a Nile Cruise, you will explore Aswan High Dam, the Temple of Philae, and the Temple of Sobek in Kom Ombo.   • Day 01:

    Cairo

    Arrival at Cairo airport. Meet and assist by our representative and you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight.
  • Day 02:

    Cairo

    Have your breakfast at the hotel. Your private Egyptologist tour guide and driver will pick you up to start your day tour.
    Drive to Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid, built for the 3rd Dynasty Pharaoh Djoser by the exalted architect Imhotep. You will experience visiting one of the mastabas in Sakkara that dates to more than 4500 years ago and see the amazing carvings and colors which gives an idea about how was life in ancient Egypt.
    You will end your time in Sakkara in a carpet school where you will be involved in an experience including locals who are being trained for an amazing handcraft of weaving following their ancestors who started it thousands of years ago.
    Have lunch at a restaurant.
    Continue to Giza to visit one of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids. See the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. have extra fun and enjoy a camel ride through the desert around the Pyramids.
    On your way, you will visit a papyrus institute.
    Return to your hotel overnight.
  • Day 03:

    Cairo

    Have your breakfast at the hotel. You will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, our representative will transfer you to your Nile cruise.
    Take a tour of Aswan High Dam, Egypt’s contemporary example of building on a monumental scale. Continue by a short motorboat ride to the Temple of Philae on the island of Agilka. The temple was dedicated to Isis, sister/wife of Osiris and patroness of the Ptolemaic rule.
    Return to your cruise and sail to Kom Ombo.
  • Day 04:

    Cairo

    Visit the Temple of Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility and creator of the world. The temple stands at a bend in the Nile where, in ancient times, sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the riverbank. Sail to Edfu, set out by horse-drawn carriage to visit the Temple of Horus, the most perfectly preserved of all the Nile Temples. Horus, also known as Haroeris, was the falcon-headed solar war god.
    Return to your Nile Cruise and sail to Luxor.
  • Day 05:

    Cairo

    Have your breakfast onboard, cross to the West Bank of the Nile and visit the wondrous Valley of the Kings, a vast city of the dead where the magnificent tombs of 62 pharaohs have been discovered. The tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated, and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs. Visit several of the tombs. Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This beautiful monument to the reign of the only female pharaoh rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it.
    On the way back to your Nile cruise, stop at the famed Colossi of Memnon, two 66ft, 1 thousand tons statues of Amenhotep III. Return to your Nile cruise.
  • Day 06:

    Cairo

    Have your breakfast onboard, disembark from the Nile Cruise, and visit Karnak Temple, called by some “the Temple of Temples.” It is the largest place of worship ever built. Within the complex, the great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars covering an area larger than the whole of Notre Dame Cathedral. Then visit the Temple of Luxor built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals and dedicated to the god Amun.
    Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo.
    Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will meet our representative and will be transferred to your hotel.
  • Day 07:

    Cairo

    Have your breakfast at the hotel.
    Free day in Cairo. You may join one of our optional tours in Cairo or Alexandria.
  • Day 08:

    Cairo

    You will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
