Rwanda, a tiny nation with rolling mountains and green valleys is making a massive effort to conserve the gorillas and the chimps in their natural environment - the bamboo forested slopes of Rwanda’s peaks and the Parc National des Volcans - while chimpanzees find refuge in The Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking permit - 1500 per person

Day 1: Arrive in Kigali

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred 3 hours to Musanze where you will check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 2: Gorilla Trek

You will be collected from the lodge and taken on a Gorilla Trek. Upon sighting the gorillas, you will stay with them for a magical hour as they go about their daily life, feeding, playing, resting; raising their young. Coming face to face with a giant silverback must truly be one of the greatest wildlife experiences on earth!

Afterwards, trek back to base and drive to the lodge for a well-deserved shower and time at leisure.

Lunch and dinner to be served at the lodge.


Day 3: Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Kigali and be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.

  • 1 day gorilla trekking permit each at US$ 1,500 (this includes briefing at RDB offices, guide)
  • Any scheduled commercial flights and related taxes
  • Cancellation, baggage and medical insurance
  • Staff gratuities
  • Any new Government Taxes, levies, fuel or industry increases which are beyond our control 
  • Visa fees where relevant. Should a visa payment be required, this will need to be made in US Dollar cash
