Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake that is world-renowned for its huge concentration of flamingos; at times, hundreds of thousands of these birds give the lake a pink shimmering glow (flamingo numbers are dependent on water levels in the lake). The park boasts a huge variety of animals, including leopard which is often found snoozing on the branches of the magnificent yellow-barked acacias, lion, buffalo, hippo, waterbuck, warthog, baboon, the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe only found in this park in Kenya, white rhino and the rare black rhino which is protected and guarded here.

Tour Program

Day 01:
Lake Nakuru
- 8:00 AM - Pick up from residence in Lake Nakuru
- 9:00 AM - Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park
- 11:00 AM - Arrive at the park and start the game-drive
- 1:00 PM - Lunch at the camp inside the park
- 3:00 PM - Continue the game-drive in the afternoon
- 6:00 PM - Return to the camp for dinner
- 8:00 PM - Overnight stay at the camp
Day 02:
Lake Nakuru
- 6:30am-7:30am: Breakfast at the lodge
- 7:30am-4:30pm: Full day game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park
- 12:30pm: Stop for a bush lunch at a scenic location in the park
- 4:30pm-6:00pm: Return to the lodge for some downtime and relaxation
- 6:00pm-7:00pm: Dinner at the lodge
- 7:00pm onwards: Overnight stay at the lodge in Lake Nakuru
Overall, the day will consist of breakfast, a full day of game drive in the national park, a bush lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 03:
Lake Nakuru
- 8:00am - Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your accommodations in Lake Nakuru
- 9:00am - Check out of your hotel or lodge
- 9:30am - Embark on a morning game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park
- 12:30pm - Depart from Lake Nakuru and head back to Nairobi
- 3:00pm - Arrive in Nairobi and be dropped off at your residence.
