Murchison Falls National Park is the largest wildlife reserve in the country. It is the best park for a short, mini-safari for those that only have a few days to spare to see the African wilderness and its abundant wildlife.

Day 1: Kampala - Murchison Falls National Park
7:30 am: Pick-up from your hotel in Kampala and head north to Murchison Falls National Park (320 km / 6 hours).
On arrival at the park, head to the top of Murchison Falls, for spectacular views of the River Nile hurling itself through a narrow crevice and plunging down 40 metres in one breathtaking leap.
Arrive at your lodge mid-afternoon.
Afternoon at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
 
Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Game drives to be taken at leisure.
 
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park - Kampala
After breafast, bid farewell to your lodge and begin the drive back to Kampala, to arrive late in the afternoon.
Drop off at your hotel.

  • 2 nights accommodation at Paraa Safari Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge or the luxurious Nile Safari Lodge
  • Full board meal plan (i.e. breakfast, lunch, dinner included)
  • Round trip transport Kampala-Murchison Falls in private 4WD safari vehicle with driver-guide

Excludes:

  • National park entrance fees of $45 per adult (non-residents), $35 per adult (residents), Shs. 25,000 per adult (East Africans), PER 24 HOURS. Children & young adults 5-15 years pay $20 (non-residents), $10 (residents), Shs. 5,000 (East Africans)
  • Beverages, incidentals, gratuities and items of a personal nature
  • Lunch on the first day
  • Optional 3 hours boat cruise on the River Nile to the base of Murchison Falls of $35 per person – can be prepaid, or paid directly subject to availability 
  • Optional hike to the top of Murchison Falls (must be combined with above 3 hours boat trip) of $20 per person – should be booked in advance
  • Optional 4-5 hour boat cruise to the River Nile Delta area of $56 per person (no meals) or $75 per person (with packed breakfast) – departs daily at 7:00 am, minimum 4 persons, advance booking necessary
  • Optional nature walk or bird walk of $30 per person (non-residents / residents) or Shs. 10,000 per person (East Africans) – payable direct
  • Optional sunrise breakfast cruise, sundowner cruise, wine and cheese cruise, fishing trips or private cruises on the River Nile (prices on request)
