With 3,230 square kilometers coverage Mikumi National Park is well-known park in Tanzania. The park is well-known for its population of elephants, giraffes buffaloes, zebras, elands, greater Kudu, wildebeest, roan and sable antelope. Predators include tree-climbing lions (which are in large number), leopards, wild hunting dogs and black-backed jackal. More than 300 species of birds have been recorded here including Eurasian migrants such as red billed oxpecker, marabou stork and lilac breasted roller.

Day 1: Dar – Morogoro – Mikumi
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Dar es Salaam in the morning by our representative in your own private luxury transfer vehicle. After loading up your luggage and settling in, you will head on West out of Dar es Salaam and towards Mikumi National Park, passing through the town of Morogoro.
You will stopover in Morogoro for a hot lunch and some rest before you head on off again toward the Mikumi National Park. You can opt to have a quick walk-around of the town to soak in the local arts and culture if you choose.
Upon arrival in Mikumi, you will head straight to the park entry gate. After a quick processing of your park permits, you will enter the Mikumi National Park.
You will make your way towards your lodge with a short en-route game drive to spot some of the afternoon game. Once at the lodge, you will be checked in for the night.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park
You can choose from multiple game drive options today. You can either go on two half day game drives on the vast expanses of Mikumi National Park with a hot lunch back at the camp, or you could choose to go on a full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes on the go.
Available game drives: 06:30 – 11:30 early morning game drive, 08:00 – 13:00 morning game drive, 16:00 – 18:15 afternoon game drive, 08:30 – 16:00 full day game drive.
Your evening will be spent at leisure, enjoying the African Sunset from the decks of the camp.

Day 3: Mikumi – Bagamoyo/Udzungwa - Dar es Salaam
After a lazy breakfast, you will check-out of your lodge, load up your luggage and picnic lunch boxes and start making your way out of the National Park and back towards Dar es Salaam. Depending on the amount of time available, you can enjoy a short en-route game drive as well today.
You can also opt for an additional activity from the add-ons list on this day. You can choose to head straight to Dar es Salaam, visit the Sanje Waterfalls in the nearby Udzungwa Mountains National Park or take a detour through the historicTownship of Bagamoyo on your way to Dar es Salaam.
You can also choose to enjoy your lunch at the camp and leave a bit later in the day. In this case, you can check-out of your room at the check-out time and enjoy the lounge area as you relax till lunch.
You will be dropped off at your accommodation upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, bringing this safari to an end.
