Fastjet has announced the launch of their next domestic route from Dar to Mbeya on November 1, 2013. Flights will be 3 times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, operated on Airbus A319. As well, their first international flight to South Africa took off on September 27, 2013.

Kenya Airways (KQ) will commence three nonstop flights from Nairobi to Guangzhou in China from 19th of November. At the moment, Kenya Airways flies to Guangzhou via Bangkok, daily.

The direct flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays departing from Nairobi just after midnight while maintaining the current flights to Guangzhou via Bangkok of four times a week.  Together with code-share partner, China Southern, whose hub is Guangzhou, KQ will be able to service most parts of China. China Southern is the biggest carrier in Asia.

Official reports from British Airways said that they are going to use Airbus A380 on its route between Heathrow and Johannesburg from 2014. The services will start from February next year which will make its first debut to Los Angeles next week and then in Hong Kong this year late in October.
