Precision now flying to Entebbe

Tanzanian airline, Precision Air, has reintroduced flights between Dar es Salaam and Entebbe in Uganda.

“On the Dar es Salaam-Entebbe route we will be operating three flights a week – on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays,” said Hillary Mremi, Corporate Affairs Manager at Precision Air.

So far, it is the only airline operating direct flights between Tanzania and Uganda, thereby offering opportunities to international tourists who are in Tanzania to fly directly to Uganda.

Following the reintroduction of the direct flights, travellers from Uganda will no longer have to travel to Nairobi or Kigali to connect to Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro.

Precision Air Commercial Director, Robert Owusu, pointed out that the decision to re-launch flights between Dar es Salaam and Entebbe was as a result of passenger demand between the two East African countries.

“Apart from the business relationships, Tanzania and Uganda have a very rich history. On the other hand, we want to offer tourists the opportunity to fly directly between the two nations,” he added.

He assured travellers that the carrier would provide affordable and reliable flights to allow them to enjoy Tanzanian and Ugandan holiday experiences.

Apart from the Dar es Salaam-Entebbe route, Precision Air also operates flights to other destinations including Tabora, Kigoma, Mtwara, Bukoba, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Mwanza, Zanzibar and Nairobi.

The flights are expected to boost tourism between Tanzania and Uganda with the two countries having some unique safari experiences.

Tourists from Tanzania heading to Uganda can enjoy gorilla and bird watching at Bwindi National Park as well as savannah wildlife safari at Queen Elizabeth National Park.

On the other hand, tourists from Uganda can head to Tanzania and Zanzibar to sample the white sand beaches and a lifetime dream safari at these popular Serengeti National Park.
