Discover the sights and sounds of Kenya's capital city Nairobi before heading off to Mara and Amboseli, two distinct parks each with their own flavours of animals, flora and fauna.

Day 01:       Nairobi

Met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure. Optional excursions can be booked and paid for locally.

Day 02:       Nairobi-Amboseli National Park

After breakfast drive south towards the Tanzania border at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro arriving at Amboseli National Park in time for lunch. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive.

Day 03:       Amboseli National Park

A full day in the Amboseli National Park to enjoy early morning and late afternoon game-drives.

Day 04:       Amboseli National Park- Aberdares National Park

After breakfast depart Amboseli for Aberdares via Nairobi where you will have your lunch then proceed to Aberdares. On arrival at the Aberdare Country Club you will be transferred to the Ark in the lodges own vehicle (on seat-in-coach basis). The rest of the afternoon is spent watching a procession of animals make their way to the water hole and saltlick which are floodlit later in the evening. Dinner is served in a rustic dining room. 

Day 05:       Aberdares National Park-Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast drive north to Samburu Game Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. Early afternoon at leisure followed by a late afternoon game-drive.

Day 06:       Samburu National Reserve

On this day you have early morning and afternoon game drive in this harshly beautiful terrain where wildlife abound especially near the river which is their only source of drinking water. The Uaso Nyiro River flows gently through the dry landscape sustaining life in this harsh land. Lunch and dinner at the lodge

Day 07:       Samburu National Reserve - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast depart for Sweetwaters to arrive at in time for lunch at the Camp. Proceed for an afternoon game drive at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and chimpanzee sanctuary. This 70,000-acre private preserve has views of the peaks of Mount Kenya and offers game drives into countryside many travelers never see. The conservancy is home to the big five of Africa.

Day 08:       Ol Pejeta Conservancy-Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive heading south-western down the escarpment to arrive Nakuru in time for lunch. Lake Nakuru is world famous for its bird’s spectacle with myriad of flamingos that thrive on the algae in that shallow alkaline lake, the endangered white rhino and so much more. After lunch, you will depart for your afternoon game drive at this majestic and scenic park.

Day 09:       Lake Nakuru National Park -Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart after breakfast at your lodge driving on the floor of the Great Rift Valley arriving at Mara in time for lunch at Sarova Mara Tented Camp followed by an afternoon game drive.  Masai Mara National Reserve is the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem. With rolling grass fields, the scenic reserve is home to the big five and with over 500 species of bird life species having been recorded it’s also a bird watchers haven. After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game drive at this majestic and scenic reserve.

Day 10:       Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy a full day in the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game-drives. Optional visits to a local Masai village and a hot air balloon are also available.

Day 11:       Masai Mara National Reserve-Nairobi-Depart

Depart Mara after breakfast for Nairobi to arrive in the early afternoon. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta international Airport to arrive in time for your outbound international flight (B)


  • Meals and accommodation in standard rooms as described (or similar) with private en-suite facilities
  • 1-litre bottled mineral water per person per day whilst on safari in our vehicle
  • Transfers and transportation as indicated in the itinerary above by specially equipped non-air-conditioned 7-seater safari minivan with pop-up roofs in Kenya
  • Services of a professional English speaking driver/guide
  • Game drives, sightseeing and excursions as described in the itinerary, inclusive of applicable entrance fees
  • Applicable local and government taxes on accommodation and transportation
  • Temporary membership to Emergency Medical Evacuation Service whilst on safari
