The Congo-Nile-Trail stretches along the beautiful shoreline of Lake Kivu. The trail offers stunning views of rolling hills and clear water, and it is the best way to experience Rwanda's natural beauty, the clean air, islands view and engage with locals’ communities in villages.
Depending on availability and hiking trail, there are various community-based tourism activities to consider on request.

- Start the tour from Gisenyi (Rubavu)

OR- Start the tour from Kibuye (Karongi)

- On the way back, guided boat ride after the hike is memorable too. Swimming facility is welcomed, enjoy panoramic views of neighboring country and how amazing the lake Kivu is on the board.

Please note:

- This activity requires you to be physically fit
- You will take a long hike, wear comfortable hiking shoes, hiking stick is offered
- You may get wet due to rains as well as waves during the boat ride - carry a light rain jacket
- You will spend some time on the sun, bring your sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen.
