Rickshaw Travels is committed not just to its global community through travel and tourism, but also to its local communities, to make them better and stronger. Rickshaw has a commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, and investing in local choirs, schools and various fundraising endeavors, Rickshaw maintains a global focus with local efforts.
Community-driven projects that Rickshaw has had the privilege of supporting in all its locations include:
- The Hamza Aziz School and its Golden Pride Choir, to raise funds to build school, buy books, etc.
- Tushikamane Pamoja Foundation - helps communities affected by poverty
- Turner Together Foundation - raising funds for people suffering from Huntington's Disease
- Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam, and the club's charity walk to help children fight cancer
- Kalamandalam - an organization which helps the community with health, educational and development projects, including the city orphanage.
- Arusha Malayai Association and Rwanda Malayali Association in support of Harvest Festival
