RIGHT TIME FOR A TRIP TO INDIA
If you have been putting off that long awaited trip to India, now’s the time to take advantage of the falling rupee. Package costs to India have dropped 15 – 20%. But where in India should you go? This country of over 1.2 billion people can be rather overwhelming so here are some thoughts
The obvious choice for many is the Golden Triangle in the north which would include a visit to the Taj Mahal,, or go further north to see the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Then again, southern India is home to thousands of ancient temples and is famous for its Ayurvedic medicine. Try the backwaters of luscious, green Kerala. If you’re looking for some French flavor, visit Puducherry in Tamil Nadu on the East Coast. Further south, but not part of India is Sri Lanka, voted as a top destination to visit in 2013. Let’s not forget the range of the Himalayas. Going to neighboring Nepal is now easier than it was some 10 years ago.
If it is hustle and bustle you want, then of course Mumbai, Delhi, Goa are some of the lively and happening cities in India.
