Uganda, Rwanda to promote East Africa as single tourism destination

In its commitment to promote East Africa as a single Tourism destination, Uganda has partnered with Rwanda to jointly promote two-way tourism traffic between the two sister-countries.

FlyDubai commenced the first of its three routes into Tanzania, with their daily service to Dar es salaam in mid-October and also started it's twice weekly service into Zanzibar, again via Dar es salaam. Previous to that, FlyDubai also launched daily direct flights to Entebbe, two onward flights a week to Kigali and three onward flights a week to Bujumbura.

Air Seychelles to service Dar es Salaam. Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, recently announced that it will launch twice-weekly flights to Dar es Salaam commencing December 2, 2014. Dar es Salaam becomes the third destination in Air Seychelles' Indian Ocean and African network, after Mauritius and Johannesburg.

FASTJET becomes the first airline in East Africa to have a Swahili language website to serve the local population and improve online communication with its customers.

Kenyan airline FLY SAX is preparing to launch operations in Tanzania around mid-December, once all regulatory approvals from the Tanzanian Civil Aviation Authority are in place.

KLM now flying non-stop between Amsterdam and Kampala. Effective October 28, KLM has de-linked flights from stopping in Kigali on their way to Kampala. This not only saves valuable time for Ugandans travelling abroad or returning home, but also visitors from across the KLM and SkyTeam network. The airline made this announcement on its 95th birthday, which birthday will be celebrated around the globe where KLM flies.

Ethiopian to start flights to Dublin and Los Angeles. Ethiopian has announced that it has finalized preparations to start flights to Dublin and Los Angeles starting from June 2015. Travelers from Los Angeles and Ireland will be able to enjoy seamless and convenient connectivity options thanks to Ethiopian extensive network in Africa covering 49 destinations.

Our accommodations were beyond belief. At the Ngorongoro Exploreans Lodge, Leah knocked at my door and said "I think I died and went to heaven". In Zanzibar all our accommodations were beyond our expectations. Our driver Edward was amazing; he was always punctual and the way he was able to spot all the animals and maneuver the vehicle so that we had the best photographic positions was amazing. We were lucky and we saw all the big six, close ups of the lions, cheetah, and elephants, hippos, and many more.
