Kenya World's Leading Safari Destination

The Kenya Tourism Board has picked up the trophy for World's Leading Safari Destination award at the Grand Final of the 20th World Travel Awards in Doha, Qatar. The award comes just a month after the destination's tourism marketing agency, Kenya Tourism Board was voted Africa's Leading Tourism Board by WTA during the Africa ceremony held in Nairobi.

Dubai Shopping Festival 2014

The Dubai Shopping Festival, the biggest shopping and entertainment extravaganza in the Middle East, will kick-off Dubai's events calendar in the New Year with a wide range of events, activities and promotions that will bring to the forefront the world famous festival's charm of offering a rewarding shopping experience in an entertaining yet relaxed ambience.

RwandAir and Ethiopian Airlines

RwandAir and Ethiopian Airlines signed a Technical Support Agreement on December 18, 2013. RwandAir has been the subject of much awe and appreciation for its sustained and fast growth. It is already ranked among one of the airlines with the youngest fleet in Africa, after being dubbed one of the fastest growing airlines on the continent. Thus when the partnership opportunity for RwandAir and Ethiopian Airlines presented itself, it was a no brainer. Click here to read press release. Uganda scraps VAT on key tourism services

The Tourism players in Uganda now have a reason to smile with the news on VAT drop on upcountry safari accommodation for tourist lodges and hotels outside Kampala District, as recently announced by the Uganda government. Earlier, the Uganda government had indicated that 18% VAT charge would be levied. But this is not the case anymore.
