Hyatt continues brand expansion in Africa

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced recently that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with ASB Holdings Limited for two Hyatt-branded hotels in Tanzania - Park Hyatt Zanzibar and Hyatt Regency Arusha. There is currently one hotel in Tanzania, Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro, which opened in 2011.

Kenya scraps visas for SA travellers - for now

The Kenyan High Commission announced that it had suspended visa requirements for South African nationals. This means that South Africans visiting Kenya for 30 days or less will not require a visa from September 1, 2014 onwards.

Ancient Kashmir fort opens to visitors

The Hari Parbat Fort in Kashmir has opened to the public for the first time. The ancient fort's origins date back as far as 1590, when the Mughal emperor Akbar had the outer wall built as the first stage of a project to create a new capital called Nager Nagor within the walls.

Daily flights between Entebbe and Juba in South Sudan were introduced in August and was made possible by the recently granted 5th freedom traffic rights to RwandAir by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority. read more

Qatar Airways has been busy lately boosting flights to various cities as well as launching a new route to Asmara. In addition to flights to Bucharest and Sofia from October, Qatar has added flights to Turkey's Sabiha Gökçen Airport and to Tehran, Islamabad and Muscat. And in December, Qatar Airways will commence flights to the Eritrean capital of Asmara. read more

"Dear Bhavin Just a note to say that me and my family had a very wonderful time in Dubai @ The Palm Atlantis, all arrangements you made were perfect and worked like clockwork.

Everything happened as expected and there were no let downs of any kind. Hotel accommodated all our request we made through you i.e., connecting rooms in fact they gave all 3 rooms next to each other.

Airport transfers were also spot on and they even accommodated me and my wife on our return lag to go back to airport (though we were not supposed to!) So all in all it was a very pleasant experience of Dubai for me and my family especially for my son in law who came to Dubai first time ever"
